About Me

Heather Hull Hart is an accomplished music instructor, choral director, pianist, violinist, vocalist, musical theatre director, and church music director, with over 25 years of professional music experience. She earned a Master of Music (MM) degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Washington, and a BA in Music (Violin and Piano) from Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho, and was accepted into the doctoral program at U.W.'s School of Music.

Heather began her private music studies on piano and violin as a young child, and voice as a teenager. She’s been playing violin in symphonies since the age of 10, including Tacoma Youth Symphony, Boise Philharmonic, Northwest Symphony Orchestra (Seattle), and Mid-Columbia Symphony. She has been singing as a soloist and in choirs since early childhood at schools, universities, and churches. Heather won numerous awards in youth music competitions and auditions in three fields (violin, piano, voice).

Her past professional experiences include: Music Director for churches (choirs for children, teens, adults, and instrumental ensembles), Music Instructor of piano classes at Columbia Basin College, Choral Director of the Columbia Chorale, Music Instructor for private violin, piano, and voice lessons, Music Director for high school and college musical theater, and Music Director of children’s church musicals, Accompanist for numerous choirs, ensembles, soloists, and churches, and was the Artistic Director of "Forte!", a premier regional show choir, for 3 1/2 years. She played violin for Wayne Newton (2004) and Mannheim Steamroller (2011)! She is currently a Music Instructor for Familiaris Fine Arts (a homeschool arts program), and the Accompanist for the Mid-Columibia Boys' Choir.

Heather is currently accepting new students for violin, piano, and voice -- all ages, and all levels, from beginning to advanced. She is booking lessons for daytime hours (10:00-3:00) which works well for homeschool students and/or adults with a flexible day schedule.
