Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist manages, maintains and monitors a cyclical inventory with serialized and non-serialized stock. This position will work with employees, vendors and customers alike; ensuring timely and accurate service. The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and strong ability to solve problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage, maintain, and monitor serialized and non-serialized inventory throughout six store locations as well as road locations
- Correct and ensure accurate inventory quantities throughout all stores inventories as well as road locations
- Investigate unreceived transfers between stores and resolve issues involving inventory movement between stores
- Coordinate store inventory counts and update schedule for inventory counts
- Manage rental instrument inventory and help stage inventory for road-teams who are coordinating rental meetings
- Aid in the logistics of special orders by ensuring consistent communication between sales staff and customers
- Assist in generating backorder reports and fulfilling backorders
- Resolve pricing and inventory category discrepancies within stores system
- Attend Road Meetings, as needed, to improve rental season process
- Supporting sales staff and management by aiding in searching for inventory and resolving issues involving inventory discrepancies
- Coordinate with buyers and purchasing staff to resolve discrepancies in purchase orders
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or retail field
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field. We will accept a combination of experience and schooling
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in inventory control systems and databases
- Knowledge of warehousing and logistics processes
- Ability to function with rapidly changing demands
- Purchasing experience a plus!

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Working hours will be spent between an office environment, predominantly sedentary; and in a backroom environment with physical labor. This position requires routine use of office equipment fax, copy, and scan. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, point, type and maneuver large and heavy boxes as well as musical instruments. The employee must also frequently lift and / or move items over 20 pounds.
