Chords and improvisation presented in a clear manner in various styles. Theory made understandable supporting the music under study. He resides in Seattle where he is in demand as a performer and composer. Recently he was selected to write for the NW Sinfonia Orchestra, conducted by Grammy award winning David Sabee. The resulting piece, 'El Espirito de la Cancion' is included on the album, 'Celebrate World Music' and may be purchased at CD Baby. It won the Independent Music Award’s popular vote for best contemporary Classical album. The work premiered at Benoroya Hall in the Nordstrom Recital Hall to a sold out house. Lonnie has taught music at the College of Idaho, Northwest Nazarene College, PLU, Seattle Central College, and North Seattle College.
