Private Lessons Teacher

Rachelle LaNae was born in Seattle, raised in Minnesota, and relocated to Tacoma in 2019. Rachelle was homeschooled and studied classical music alongside her six siblings, studying cello under Olga Dolgaya, Laura Handler, and Hong Wang. In 2015 she graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Music, where she studied under Tanya Remenikova. Rachelle is returning to the world of performing in a variety of settings, but pre-pandemic, she was an active performer around the Twin Cities, both as a cellist and singer/songwriter. Her cello quartet, Delphia, was featured on Minnesota Public Radio as a Class Notes Artist, performing in schools around Minnesota.

Rachelle is a believer in expression over perfection, and creativity and passion are the driving forces in her collaborative teaching approach. With more than a decade’s worth of teaching experience, Rachelle also teaches voice, piano, guitar, songwriting, and music theory. Her original music has been placed in TV and film, and she is currently working on her next record.
